Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois - Diese Wanderung ist ein Muss für Botanikfans: Neben Feldern, den Wäldern am Fluss Aubonne und den Weinbergen oberhalb des Genfersees kann unterwegs auch das nationale Arboretum erkundet werden.
Ab Morges fährt die originelle MBC-Bahn (Morges-Apples-Bière) bis nach Bière, durch Weinberge und übers Land bis zum Jurafuss. Der Ort ist schweizweit bekannt als Standort eines Artillerie- und Infanterie-Waffenplatzes. Vom Bahnhof Bière steigt der Weg zum Fluss Aubonne hinab, der hier entspringt und nach rund 12 km in den Genfersee mündet. Der Flusslauf wird von einem angenehmen Weg gesäumt, unterwegs gibt es immer wieder Bänklein und Picknick-Plätze. Beim Stausee vereinen sich die Flüsse Toleure und Sandoleyre mit der Aubonne.
Some 3,000 species and varieties of trees and shrubs, mainly from the world’s temperate regions, are to be found at the national Arboretum in the valley of the Aubonne river.
The JST Multidrive all-terrain wheelchair allows people with reduced mobility to enjoy the two 6km-trails in the heart of the Aubonne Valley’s Arboretum where they can discover numerous species of trees.
