Oberhof hiking routes: Wittelweiher route (long)

Jurapark Aargau - The circular hike around Oberhof entices with shady spots, rarely used paths, beautiful views, and a natural forest reserve. 

Oberhof lies at the foot of the Benkerjoch - nestled in the typical hill landscape of Jurapark Aargau. Three marked circular hiking routes, each with a short and a longer variant, lead through different parts of the municipality. The paths partly run on old, almost forgotten trails, which have been made accessible again for the three routes.

The long Wittelweiher route leads over rarely used paths and invites you to linger in shady spots. Along the way, beautiful views of the green hilly landscape repeatedly present themselves. The animal and plant world also shows itself at its best: you hike through a natural forest reserve and pass by the Wittelweiher ponds, where the rare Glögglifrosch (midwife toad) occurs.
