Wildnispark Zürich Sihlwald - Leisurely, one-hour circular bicycle tour for families and recreational sports people. At first the way is flat along the River Sihl and afterwards through the forest wilderness of the Sihlwald nature discovery park.
The cycle route leads from the visitor centre past Sihlwald railway station and then over a road bridge to the right bank of the Sihl. Here, follow regional cycle route 94 upstream along the Sihl. Soon, the first barbecue area invites you to take a leisurely break on the banks of the Sihl. Here you can watch grey herons and dippers searching for food. Shortly before Sihlbrugg railway station, the route crosses the Sihl and then follows Sihltalstrasse south for 400 metres. Immediately after Waldhüsli, follow Schweikhofweg to the Eschentobel junction and turn right here onto Sihlwaldstrasse towards Langnau a.A. The gravel path winds its way uphill to the barbecue area at Streubodenhütte. Follow Sihlwaldstrasse through the impressive wilderness, pass two more forest huts and turn right at the next opportunity onto Häulibodenstrasse and enjoy the descent. A forest path parallel to Sihltalstrasse takes you back to Sihlwald, where you can end the day at the visitor centre.
From Zurich the journey can be made with the bicycle. It is about 15 km from the centre of the city to Sihlwald railway station. The ride on the Sihl valley cycle path (route 94) takes about 45 to 60 minutes.
There is a barbecue area with three benches and a table bench combination on Streuboden.
There are two benches as well as a table and bench combination provided.

Branch nests, suspension bridges, a hollow silver fir trunk, a snake made of wood - these are the centrepieces of the wilderness playground at the visitor centre in Sihlwald. The exciting play wilderness offers challenges for young and old.
A pile of branches here, a few piled stones there and an insect hotel on the wall – all places where lizards, hedgehogs, bees, and other small animals find a home.
