Summit hike Kaiseregg, 2185 m above sea level

You can comfortably reach Riggisalp by chairlift. Slightly descending and then on a wide path it goes up to Alp Salzmatt, located in the ridge notch between Homad and Kaiseregg. On an increasingly narrow mountain path, you reach the Kaiseregg Pass via the west flank and finally via a zigzag path. Through impressive karst fields, you reach the summit of Kaiseregg. The slightly acidic rainwater has etched deep channels into the limestone slabs. An impressive panoramic view rewards the efforts of the ascent. The webcam from Schwarzsee Tourism provides information about the location of the livestock guardian dogs that sometimes guard the sheep herd on the southeast flank of Kaiseregg together with a shepherd.
