Naturpark Beverin - The viaCapricorn leads in 3 stages across the area of the Safien-Rheinwald ibex colony. On the 1st day you walk through beautiful alpine meadows, past Piz Beverin and the turquoise Schottensee. If you are lucky you will see the ibexes!
Sure-footedness is required. The tour is not suitable for small children.
At weekends from July to October the alpin Beverin bus runs from Wergenstein up to the Anorosa Alp (Tguma car park). With this possibility the walk can be shortened by a few kilometres and especially a lot of elevation. www.busalpin.ch
For the observation of wildlife it is recommended to take binoculars or a telescope.
In Wergenstein the visit to the Capricorn exhibition is worthwhile as a warm-up for the ibex-dominated walk.
The hotel is located at 1491 m.a.s.l. in the middle of the Beverin Nature Park and is a place with tradition and lived hospitality. The historic hotel from the 1930s was gently renovated in 2011 and expanded with a wellness area in 2023.
Our mountain inn lies in the Beverin Nature Park above Thusis, in the holiday corner of Switzerland. Valleys to the north and south of the Alps. Rivers that flow in all directions.
The capricorn exhibition in the Center da Capricorns in Wergenstein imparts exciting and interesting information about the king of the Alps. The ibex was reintroduced 60 years ago in the region of the nature park and there are now about 300 animals.
