Homad snowshoe trail
Naturpark Diemtigtal - This demanding tour takes you to the top of the Homad. After the ascent, you will be rewarded with a great panoramic view. You can even see Lake Thun from up here.
The snowshoe tour to the Homad starts from the mountain station of the Wiriehorn chairlift on Nüegg. From here, the circular trail first leads along the toboggan run for a short distance, then the ascent to the Homad begins. Once at the top, it's worth taking a long break, if only for the panoramic view, before continuing back to the starting point.

Safety advices
The hiking time depends on the amount of snow and the condition of the route as well as your physical condition. The route has a demanding ascent and descent. Surefootedness and fitness are required for this tour.Signalization
From the Wiriehorn mountain station (Nüegg), follow the signs towards the valley station of the Homad ski lift (sledging trail). After a few hundred metres, at the starting point of the bike downhill trails, the snowshoe trail branches off to the right. From here, always follow the directional signs. You cross the toboggan run again before the ascent to the Homad begins. At the top, the trail leads back down on the other side of the lift to the valley station of the Homad lift and back to the mountain station Wiriehorn (Nüegg).The trail is signalled with pink directional signs and a snowshoe symbol. You are on the edge of wildlife rest zones and wildlife protection areas. Please keep to the signposts and do not leave the recommended route.
