Naturpark Diemtigtal - The winter hiking trail takes you through deeply snow-covered forests and meadows, high above the valley floor of the Diemtigtal Nature Park and always offers you an impressive wide view.
With the three variants of the winter hiking trail at Springenboden, you can design your hike entirely according to your wishes: the shortcuts via Ahorni or Chüeweid are ideal for shorter walks with little altitude difference. The route via Otteschwand is rather demanding, but the ascent to 1500 m above sea level is rewarded with an impressive view into the rear Diemtigtal and Simmental. Do you feel like something warm or want to enjoy the last sun rays on a terrace? Back at the starting point, the restaurants are ideal for that.
Shortcut variant A "Ahorni": 3 km, 1 hour

Details
The different variants of the winter hiking trail lead past a covered fireplace and a toilet (Kompotoi). Flyers with overview maps are available at the office of the Diemtigtal Nature Park.

Signalization
Follow the winter hiking trail from Springenboden to Ahorni, before the path rises via Chüeweid, Neuenstift to Otteschwand. Far away from everyday life, you will be rewarded with an impressive panorama into the rear Diemtigtal and Simmental. From Bärgli, you will already start the descent back to the starting point.
