Saint-Blaise Oratory
Historical building
Season: All season
Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut - The oratory, dedicated to Saint Blaise, was built in 1690. When Foot-and-mouth disease plagued the region, wiping out entire herds, the cows of Crésuz remained untouched. The chapel is a thank you for the preservation of the herds who then followed the the upper trail from the other side of the mountain (Botterens) to the Jogne valley. The only route at that time.
