viaCapricorn is a mountain hike that leads through the natural habitat of the Alpine ibex. Per stage, experienced mountaineers need to plan around 6 to 8 hours.

An interesting snow-shoe trail past the idyllic Camana alpine huts with a view to Piz Beverin, Bruschghorn and the Glas pass.
Illustrated boards indicate the legends at the scene of the event along stage 3 of the Safien Valley Walser Trail. In the actionbound App the legends can heard or read in the "Legend Booklet".
The viaCapricorn leads across the area of the Safien-Rheinwald ibex colony. On the 2nd you walk through Safiental, which is characterised by the Walser culture. You will find barns burned brown by the sun, solitary located hamlets and tranquility.
The 2nd Stage of the Safiental Walser trail takes you from Tenna to the valley floor via the Egschisee and then along the Rabiusa. You walk through enchanting riverside forests with diverse vegetation until you reach Safien Platz.
A long ascent leads over the Glaspass into the Safiental. Among bikers the trail is known to be as demanding as it is legendary. The old mule trail twists down almost vertically, sometimes between bands of rock, to tiny Safien Platz.
The Safien Walser Trail runs in 3 stages from the Rhine Gorge to the back of the Safien valley. The main direction leads from north to south, into the valley.
