The EGGUWEG will lead you to 17 interesting places (EGGU = corner, nook). Between the middle of May up to the end of October all are invited to follow the path and to learn facts about herbs and culture.
In the winter season, the EGGUWEG can be made through the village from EGGU 7 to 16.
Alors que le clocher actuel date, à la base, de 1673, l'église fut reconstruite à plusieurs reprises. Elle fut rebâtie une première fois en 1567, puis de 1735 à 1739 et consacrée en 1738 par Monseigneur Duding qui la dédie à Saint Laurent. Des modifications furent apportées à l'édifice baroque en 1937, notamment par un haussement de la voûte. Cette église contient plusieurs oeuvres d'art importantes :
- des vitraux du verrier fribourgeois Jules Schmid, datant des années 1960
- deux vitraux du verrier fribourgeois Netton Bosson, datant de 1989
- une chaire qui daterait du milieu du 17ème siècle
- un calvaire sculpté assez remarquable à l'entrée du choeur (18ème siècle probable)
- un baptistère de 1736
L'église des "Mitcha-Bou", dont le nom rappelle celui des habitants de Mollens est un site clunisien datant du XIIème siècle.
This architectural gem is tucked into the Coumatta forest. The forest has been protected from logging since the 17th century because of its role stabilizing the land and protecting against avalanches. The church, in its current form, dates to 1589, although the protestant religion has been practiced here since 1555. The stained-glass windows were installed in the mid 20th century. The interior, covered by a wood ceiling, features original white pine woodwork from 1590.
Located next to the church, the vicarage was built in 1707 by the carpenter Joseph Goballet. The beautiful house, at first private, was bought in 1733 by the parish and thus became independent of Château-d’Œx.
Rougemont's Saint-Nicolas Church was built by Cluny monks in the late 11th century. The church's architecture has elements of Romanesque architecture (classical model Cluny Latin cross), as well as the Reformation and the Bernese presence (shortened transept, enlarged apse, single roof, Oberland-style steeple). We can also observe the revival of reformation art in the early 20th century (paintings by Correvon, Rivier et Delachaux).
Der Egschisee ist nicht zuletzt ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel der Einheimischen. Hier lässt sich baden und bräteln. Aber Achtung! Der Egschisee ist ein Stausee. Das Baden geschieht auf eigene Gefahr.
Das 1933 erbaute Wohnhaus zeigt die Verbindung von Tradition und Moderne und ist ein architektonisches Beispiel des modernen Bauens in der Schweiz.
Das Eidg. Ausbildungszentrum in freier Natur, ca. 15 Gehminuten ausserhalb des Dorfzentrums gelegen, steht allen Gästen für Anlässe, Schulungen, Versammlungen oder einfach für Übernachtungen zur Verfügung.

Unverbaute Flusslandschaften sind selten geworden. Doch bei uns gibt es deren vier, die unter Schutz stehen, eine davon «Ämmenmatt», wo die Kleine Emme zwischen Entlebuch und Fontannen-Mündung ihren eigenen Weg geht.
Bei der Schwarzwasserbrücke findet man die Kunsteisbahn, in welcher der EHC Schwarzenburg trainiert. Auch wenn rundherum der Schnee schmilzt, werden hier die Kufen geschwungen.
Auf dem Schwarzsee werden im Winter zwei Felder zum Eisstockschiessen präpariert. Eisstockschiessen ist mit dem Curling verwandt und wird in Gruppen von 2 bis 8 Personen gespielt.
Die Schutzhütte (rom: Chamonas d'Ela) im Hochgebirge zwischen Savognin und Bergün liegt auf 2'252 m ü.M. und ist Ausgangspunkt für Touren zum Piz Ela und zum Tinzenhorn.
Mitten im Flügel des Piz Ela (3339 m ü. M.), im Südostgrat, klafft ein 2,5 m hohes und 6 m breites Loch – das Ela-Loch. Im Februar und Oktober spielt sich hier ein einmaliges Naturschauspiel ab, wenn die Sonne ihre Strahlen durchs Loch ins Tal wirft.

This suggested part of the Emmen riverside path from Schüpfheim to Entlebuch is ideally suitable for a family walk. At every metre the river sounds a little different and cloaks the walker in gentle rapture.
The Emmenuferweg opens up one of the most charming river landscapes in the canton of Lucerne. From the source in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch, the path leads on mysterious trails into the vibrant agglomeration of the city of Lucerne.
The first stage of the Emmenuferweg invites you to marvel. The start at the Brienzer Rothorn is spectacular. Accompanied by impressive views of Lake Brienz and the Bernese Alps, the route leads to the source of the Emme and immerses into the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere.
The untouched river landscape between Entlebuch and Wolhusen is considered a hidden gem among nature enthusiasts. The hike leads through a protected floodplain area, repeatedly bringing you to the banks of the wild river course of the Kleine Emme.
The second stage of the Emmenuferweg is also the wildest. From Sörenberg, the hiking trail winds along deep gorges and high rock walls down into the main Entlebuch valley to Schüpfheim.
At the beginning of the stage, you can see the monastery towering above Werthenstein. From here, the hike leads largely flat along the shady bank of the Kleine Emme and slowly approaches the agglomeration of the city of Lucerne.
