Bern to Plaffeien (Switzerland Mobility 62)
Naturpark Gantrisch - From Bern over the Längenberg towards Schwarzenburg. From Schwarzenburg the route continues towards Guggisberg and then back down to Plaffeien.
The federal capital Bern is left to the east. Via Köniz you enter the soft hills of the Längenberg. Some climbs will cause some sweat beads on your face, but the reward is literally worth seeing: The view of the Bernese Alps is wonderful here. On the way you can see impressive farmhouses with large, protective roofs. Shortly before the small town of Schwarzenburg, more pedaling work is required through the Schwarzwassergraben.
Then it continues with a strenuous hilly landscape between the Sensegraben and the Guggershörnli. After Guggisberg, the route leads down into the canton of Fribourg. Despite the customs house, there is no border between the two cantons Bern and Fribourg. Only the merging of the Cold and Warm Sense indicates a union. In the Fribourg region the hills remain green, but the sound of the language changes. In the Plasselb gorge, the Ärgera/La Gérine rushes, which also forms the Röstigraben.
