Das Naturwaldreservat La Niva liegt oberhalb von Savognin am Fuss des Piz Mitgel. Auf dem trockenen, mageren Untergrund aus Dolomitschutt wachsen zu 70 Prozent Bergföhren. Fichten machen 29 Prozent des Baumbestands aus.
