21th Entlebuch alpine descent

Living tradition and folklore, combined with a modern public event, give the Schüpfheim Alpabfahrt its very special face.

The grand procession of all participating alpine pastures is expected in Schüpfheim from around 11.30 am. In addition to the alps from Sörenberg, three alpine farms from near Schüpfheim will also be taking part in the Alpabzug, making the procession even bigger.

From 10.00 a.m., various restaurants, pubs and snack stands invite you to a cozy get-together. Yodelling clubs, alphorn players and flag-wavers provide atmospheric entertainment throughout the day. The large regional produce market offers a wealth of local products. From various alpine cheese specialties to meat and sausage products and delicious sweets, you will find everything your heart desires.
