In the Frick Dinosaur museum in addition to a complete plateosaurus skeleton there is also a fossil predator dinosaur to be seen. An informative dinosaur nature trail takes you to the excavation area where you can excavate for fossils yourself.
Die Kapelle der Heiligen Familie steht am idyllischen Dorfplatz von Steinhaus und wurde um 1728 erbaut. Der buntbemalte Altar zeigt die Heilige Familie auf dem Tempelgang nach Jerusalem, begleitet von der Taube des Heiligen Geistes.
Als heimatkundliches Museum führt das Dorfmuseum Wiesen in die lokale Wohnkultur ein, vor allem in diejenige des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Ein Dorfmuseum der besonderen Art: In einem alten Bauernhaus erinnern originalgetreu eingerichtete Räume an das Leben aus längst vergangenen Zeiten.
Among all the insects that enliven the ponds and channels in the Pfyn forest, the dragonflies are definitely the most elegant and easiest to observe. There are two types of dragonfly in the forest: The small dragonfly and the large dragonfly.
Alors que le clocher actuel date, à la base, de 1673, l'église fut reconstruite à plusieurs reprises. Elle fut rebâtie une première fois en 1567, puis de 1735 à 1739 et consacrée en 1738 par Monseigneur Duding qui la dédie à Saint Laurent. Des modifications furent apportées à l'édifice baroque en 1937, notamment par un haussement de la voûte. Cette église contient plusieurs oeuvres d'art importantes :
- des vitraux du verrier fribourgeois Jules Schmid, datant des années 1960
- deux vitraux du verrier fribourgeois Netton Bosson, datant de 1989
- une chaire qui daterait du milieu du 17ème siècle
- un calvaire sculpté assez remarquable à l'entrée du choeur (18ème siècle probable)
- un baptistère de 1736
L'église des "Mitcha-Bou", dont le nom rappelle celui des habitants de Mollens est un site clunisien datant du XIIème siècle.
This architectural gem is tucked into the Coumatta forest. The forest has been protected from logging since the 17th century because of its role stabilizing the land and protecting against avalanches. The church, in its current form, dates to 1589, although the protestant religion has been practiced here since 1555. The stained-glass windows were installed in the mid 20th century. The interior, covered by a wood ceiling, features original white pine woodwork from 1590.
Located next to the church, the vicarage was built in 1707 by the carpenter Joseph Goballet. The beautiful house, at first private, was bought in 1733 by the parish and thus became independent of Château-d’Œx.
Rougemont's Saint-Nicolas Church was built by Cluny monks in the late 11th century. The church's architecture has elements of Romanesque architecture (classical model Cluny Latin cross), as well as the Reformation and the Bernese presence (shortened transept, enlarged apse, single roof, Oberland-style steeple). We can also observe the revival of reformation art in the early 20th century (paintings by Correvon, Rivier et Delachaux).

In the Entlebucherhaus museum the history of Entlebuch becomes tangible. You will find a local historical collection focussing on the everyday life and craft of the farmers. The collection is displayed in 35 scenes over an exhibition area of 1000m2.
Before the construction of water tapping for the Vallorbe power plant, the Brenet lake water flowed through this natural funnel. A detour to this impressive gorge is well worthwhile.

The showpiece of Ernen is the village square (Dorfplatz), around which numerous historic buildings are grouped, e.g. the St. Georg tavern (1535), the "Tellenhaus" (1576) with the oldest Tell frescos in Switzerland or the "Zendenrathaus" (dated 1750).

Since 1956, the Poya d’Estavannes has been an important event in Gruyères. This festival celebrates the ascent of livestock herds to their alpine pastures. The 7th edition took place in 2013.

The walk round the Etang de la Gruère is easily accessible for young and old. A beautifully laid-out trail (wood shavings and board walks) reveals new and wonderful views at every step around this fantastic moorland lake.
The Etang des Royes is the baby brother of the Etang de la Gruère and is visited less often. It is embedded in green and more remote, but has a great deal of charm and offers unique tranquillity.

EXPO ELECTRO, permeated by the atmosphere of a former power station which has now been listed as a historic monument, features almost 500 items including a dynamo manufactured in 1896 by René Thury, a Swiss, in whose honour the first hall is named. A second hall acts as a contrast, showing 150 items (Edison bulbs, rectifiers, motors etc.) paying tribute to the genius and father of alternating current, Nikola Tesla.
